Postcard from...The Trevi Fountain
£25.00
An illustration of Rome's Trevi Fountain, available for digital download.
The Trevi Fountain has been drawing visitors since 1762, when this dramatic Baroque masterpiece was completed at the end of an ancient Roman aqueduct. These days, it's less about the engineering and more about the ritual: toss a coin over your shoulder, make a wish, and hope Rome calls you back someday. The fountain has become a star in its own right, appearing in films like Roman Holiday and La Dolce Vita, but for an entire generation it will always be the spot where Lizzie McGuire made her iconic wish. Unsurprisingly, millions of visitors have followed suit ever since, adding their own little dose of main-character energy to the tradition.
