The Balmoral has been an iconic Edinburgh landmark since 1902, its clocktower confuses the masses by running three minutes fast and its guest list sprinkled with legends like Sophia Loren, Elizabeth Taylor, and Laurel & Hardy. Once upon a time, the North British Station Hotel, but now simply The Balmoral, it remains one of the city’s most elegant and unmistakable silhouettes.
